4.5" Surface Mount Speaker, Black

A surface-mounted 70/100 V, 4.5" 2-way loudspeaker system from QSC, the AD-S4T is part of their AcousticDesign™ series, and is ideal for use in a wide range of foreground and background sound reinforcement applications. It features a high quality 4.5" weather-treated paper cone woofer on a 1" voice coil, as well as a carefully selected 0.75" silk dome tweeter with 0.75" voice coil that perfectly matches the sensitivity and performance of the woofer for remarkable full-range reproduction. Consistent and even 120° axisymmetric (conical) coverage is attained through DMT™ (Directivity Matched Transition) technology, a QSC innovation which matches the directivity patterns of the woofer and the high-frequency waveguide at the crossover point. The result is a coherent transition between transducers and improved off-axis response. Its even, accurate frequency response is aided by a 30W low-loss, low-saturation transformer that features selectable taps, including an 8 Ω bypass. To preserve weather resistance, the rotary selector is located on the back of the enclosure, protected by a weather grommet. This particular model comes in your choice of either Black or White, and is priced individually, but sold as a pair.

Installers will appreciate the award-winning X-Mount™ system, which is included with each full-range AcousticDesign model. It's an innovative mounting solution that achieves unprecedented ease-of-installation in horizontal, vertical, wall, or ceiling deployments. Its knurled surfaces at the pivot planes ensure the load will not drift or sag over time. Articulation marks allow preconfiguration of the X-Mount while on the ground with no special tools needed. Once secure, the loudspeaker installs in seconds, allowing the installer to work safer, smarter, and faster with repeatable results.

Further enhancing performance and speed of install with optimum result, advanced voicing filter sets using QSC's Intrinsic Correction™ are obtained using Q-Sys networked audio processing platforms or CXD amplifier platforms, for a complete QSC systems solution.
