Description
The Radial Engineering StageBug SB-2 is an ultracompact passive direct box designed for guitarists, bass players, and keyboardists who need a simple, reliable DI that can fit in a case or gig bag. Equipped with an Eclipse ET-DB3 transformer, it delivers a warm, vintage-flavored tone while reducing hum and buzz.
The StageBug SB-2 features an unbalanced 1/4" Hi-Z input, a 1/4" thru jack, and a balanced XLR 3-pin male output. A stereo-to-mono merge function allows easy routing of a stereo source such as a synth or digital piano into a mono mixer channel. Use the -15 dB pad to avoid distortion when dealing with high-output instruments including electric guitars and basses with active pickups.
Thanks to its passive design, the StageBug SB-2 requires no batteries or phantom power. It sports a ground-lift switch to inhibit problematic noise from ground loops.
