Description
Panels and rackmounting equipment can be recessed within a rack by means of these recess mounting-brackets. They are ideal for vehicles or fixed systems where space in front of the rack is limited and in flight-case systems where a case lid is to be fitted. Whilst designed and predominantly used as recess brackets, they can also be used as stand-off brackets to allow the rackmounting of equipment too deep to fit in the rack.
Manufactured from mild steel and finished in Dawn Grey (BS4800-10A03) or Black, the rear of the brackets have M6 threaded holes in every U position, allowing multiple panels or pieces of equipment to be mounted on the 2U and 3U recess brackets.
Additional M6 threaded holes are provided to allow top and bottom plates to be fitted to the recess brackets to prevent U-links or patchcords falling into the rack.
Available in 1U, 2U and 3U, with 50mm, 100mm or 150mm recess depth as standard, other heights and recess depths are available to special order but may be subject to a minimum order quantity.
It is recommended that where heavy equipment is recessed or stood off, additional support brackets are used particularly in flight-cased systems.
