USB 3.0 Performance
To meet USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 specifications, the NAUSB3-B chassis contain tight-tolerance pin wiring and an improved ground connection due to an additional copper film between the USB jacks, which helps the feedthrough adapter achieve writing and reading speed above 200 MB/s.
Gender Changeable
Certain applications require that the USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 Type-A or Type-B jack is in front to connect devices such as hard drives and cameras. The connector configuration of the NAUSB3-B can be changed by rotating the USB insert without special tools.
Design
The standardized D-shape housing of the adapter fits into conventional patch panels and offers an additional protection for the connector.
Optimized Ground Connection
An additional metal lip helps to ensure optimum ground connection from the USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 jack to the D-size flange in order to achieve a consistent ground level. To eliminate the ground connection, pinch off the metal lip.
Cable Lengths
We recommend using USB-IF certified cables to ensure error-free data transmission. Maximum length of USB-IF certified USB 3.0 passive cable is 2.0 meters. To help ensure an error-free data transmission, it is essential to use an appropriate cable with correct length. The figures below list the maximum cable length according to the wire gauge (AWG) of the USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1 cable being used.
